HebStone Nordic planter

Strongly textured white marble Jesmonite planter, finished with an acid etch to reveal the layered beach sand structure and then a final waterproof sealer for inside/outside use.

Rather than poured in one attempt ,I have several mixed layers poured to achieve this texture over the height of the planter ,mimicking the differing sand types at the source beach.

The beach I lift my sand from is violent and has a lot of dark grains from mussel shells through it from being smashed from the dark brutal rocks.

Every time I lift my sand from this source it has changed texture and always after a storm so there is a calmness to the beach and the body when lifting it that for days was usually impossible.

On calmer weeks the beach bank is nearly level yet after a storm you could fall down the steep slope into the churning ocean as steep bank forms of dark golden sand almost like the whole beach is backing off from the moody sea.
